The pre - match headlines almost said the words ''proceed with caution''. For those of us who witnessed last seasons game at the then newcomers to the Cymru Alliance League Penrhyncoch what we witnessed that day by half time was that Glantraeth were 3 - 0 down and facing disaster. Paul Whelan took a brave decision and brought on all three substitutes after the half time and in a superb second half performance by the team we pulled the game around to gain a point in a 3 - 3 draw , and could almost have won it at the end. Would todays encounter be the same. Penrhyncoch announced before the game that former Aberystwyth forward Gavin Allen had been appointed joint manager along with current boss Carwyn Jenkins. Despite some positives on the field the new management team saw their side slip to defeat against the Anglesey title chasers. Rob Williams gave Glantraeth the lead when turning to fire home for the visitors in the 32nd minute. Glantraeth were guilty of several other missed chances but Craig Roberts bagged his fifth goal in three games in the 75th minute to seal a deserved victory for the visitors. On a sour note the home side also had a player dismissed in the 85th minute for something he said verbally to one of the officials.
GOALS: ROB WILLIAMS
