Facing bottom of the table Lex XI Glantraeth were stunned as they fell two goals behind within the opening 11 minutes.
New signing Sion Parry had to pull off a good tackle on Lexís Tom Smith in the fourth minute as the home side posed the first danger. Glanís main threat was coming from full-back Darren Jones who fired wide a minute later then only good defensive play by Gavin Maloney prevented Jones latching on to a through ball from Kevin Roberts.
Lex took the lead on 9 minutes as Tom Smith finished after Simon Richards had created the opening and two minutes later the Wrexham side went further ahead as a ball in from Mark Williams found the Glan defence all at sea and Dale Hill scored from close quarters.
A long cross from Paul Rowlands almost beat keeper Gavin Pierce on 18 minutes but it was still Lex that were posing the most danger with keeper Gareth OJ Roberts saving well from Tom Smith then making a flying save from Ian Pierce.
Twice Glan skipper Darren Jones had shots saved as he continued to push forward in support and the visitors were at last beginning to string some moves together but they had a tremendous let off on 38 minutes as Mark Williams lifted the ball over from a great position.
A half-time roasting from manager Paul Whelan had its effect as Glan pulled a goal back eight minutes into the second period as Darren Jones was unceremoniously bundled over as he looked certain to score and Jonathan Peris Jones drove home the perfect spot kick.
It was now much better from the visitors but Lex were still looking dangerous in attack as OJ Roberts pulled off another good save from Tom Smith on 58 minutes and six minutes later a powerful run and shot from Joe Garner spelled danger.
A half-cleared free kick fell to Emyr Rowlands whose shot rose too high as Glan strived to level the scores but again OJ Roberts was called into action as he made two tremendous saves in as many minutes from Dale Hill and Tom Smith.
With the game really stretched there were chances at both ends with Alan Jones missing a chance on 80 minutes then converting a Peris Jones cross a minute later to make amends and finally restore parity.
In a hectic finale both sides could have won as caution was thrown to the wind, Gareth Wyn Roberts going close for Glan and Sion Parry and Emyr Rowlands having to make last ditch interceptions to keep Lex out.
