Glantraeth continued their unbeaten run with this well earned victory over local Anglesey rivals Bodedern. Going into the game boasting the second best defensive record in the Cymru Alliance League the defence looked solid throughout as Bodedern found it difficult trying to break through. Paul Rowlands forced Glantraeth keeper Steve Thomas into a fine save as early as the second minute before Kevin Roberts tried to place an effort into the top corner. Glantraeth opened the scoring after nine minutes after keeper Gareth O.J Roberts brought down Kevin Roberts. The resulting penalty was taken by Richard Hughes whose shot slithered under his body at the post.
A further goal came on 12 Min's after a free kick taken by Kevin Roberts was headed on by Warren Gibbs to Mark Thomas who put in from six yards to make it 2 - 0. Craig Roberts tried a long range effort on 20 Min's as Glantraeth took control of the match. Paul Rowlands then hit a shot that forced Thomas into a good save. On 37 Min's a good move down the left side of the field between Richard Hughes who found Mark Thomas saw Thomas pick out Craig Roberts coming in at the far post who executed a flying header to increase the score to 3 - 0. Craig Roberts tried a snapshot which went over the bar on 39 Min's. Then Nigel Barry tried his luck as the half was coming to a close. Paul Bryant shot over but he was leaning back as he took the shot and Warren Gibbs put over from a free kick as the official blew for halftime.
The second half continued in the same vane as the first as Rob Williams for Glantraeth put a chance over the crossbar. Then Mike Parry put a header into the sidenetting following a Kevin Roberts corner. Richard Hughes nearly increased the lead further following a cross from Craig Roberts when his shot was blocked by Trystan Owen. Kevin Roberts blazed wide on 72 Min's. A free kick from Barry Jones was well over the bar on 82 Min's.
Craig roberts forced Gareth Roberts into an excellent save on 89 Min's as he pushed round the post for a corner. From the resulting corner taken by Kevin Roberts - Gareth Owen rose to head past the keeper to make it 4 - 0.
