Player Manager

Paul joined the club in 2003/04 season. Well respected in footballing circles and led the club to the Cymru Alliance league and cup double last season. Highlight of playing career scoring for Bangor City at Wembley Stadium in the 1984 FA Trophy Final.

Nigel Barry
Assistant Player Manager

Nigel was this season appointed assistant to manager Paul Whelan. Returned to the club last season for a second spell. Combative midfield player with an eye for goal & a very good reader of the game. Had European experience with Bangor City in the mid-nineties.

Warren Gibbs

Club captain and central defender. Warren is strong, determined & dangerous at set pieces. Previous clubs include Bangor City and Cemaes Bay.

Vice Captain
Mark Thomas

Joker in the team and vice-captain. Normally plays in central midfield but easily adapts to play in a variety of roles. Previous clubs include Rhayader Town, Bangor City and Cemaes Bay, League of Wales. Last season's Player of the Year and leading scorer.

Steve Thomas

First choice keeper. Steve is a Bangor lad who joined us at the start of season 2005/06. Brave keeper, strong in the air with a good kick on him.

Neil Hughes

Understudy to Steve Thomas, has impressed with his confident performances. Has a great attitude. A product of the Bangor City academy.

Gareth Owen

Signed from Bethesda Athletic in 2002/03 season. A classy central defender who always seems to have time on the ball. Has also turned out for Cemaes Bay in the League of Wales.

Rob Williams

Signed from Porthmadog. A prolific scorer who has made the No 9 shirt his own. Previous clubs include Cemaes Bay and Caernarfon Town.

Kevin Roberts

Skilful on the ball with an excellent work rate and a dead ball specialist. Good in the air and gets his fair share of goals. Previous clubs include Porthmadog and Cemaes Bay.

Darren Jones

Solid and skilful left back who likes to push forward. Also played for Bangor City and Cemaes Bay. Was once on the books of Manchester City. Appeared in UEFA Cup.

Craig Roberts

Joined the club in 2004/05 season. Strong centre forward, played Welsh Premier with Bangor City. A good prospect who has also appeared for Bethesda Athletic.

Emyr Rowlands

Signed in 2004/05 season. Never-say-die attitude and a most improved player. Gets forward in support well. Previous clubs include UWIC Cardiff and Cemaes Bay.

Richard Hughes

Has played in a variety of positions but very effective up front last season when available. Signed from Porthmadog season 2005/06. Also played for Welsh Universities and Cemaes Bay. Won the Gold medal at Island Games in Sweden.

Paul Rowlands

Signed this season from Bodedern where he was voted Player of the Year. Confident midfielder with loads of skill.

Richard Owen

Returned to Glantraeth this season from Bethesda Athletic. A prolific scorer in his last spell with the club.

Mark Owens

Creative and a very good crosser of the ball. Also has an eye for goal. Previous clubs include Cemaes Bay and Bethesda Atletic.

Osian Pritchard

Signed this season. A young player of great potential who has been playing in the Anglesey Under 17 Junior League with Penrhosgarnedd.

Martin Bohana

Returned to the club this season from Bethesda Athletic. Other clubs include Rhyl, Llangefni Town, Llanfair PG & Holyhead Hotspur.

Simon Kay

Can play in defence or midfield. Joined club last season but moved to Llangefni Town in summer before re-signing for Glantraeth in September. Previous clubs include Cemaes Bay.

Anthony Hughes

Quick and competitive Anthony is a summer signing who was previously with Beaumaris Town and Bethesda Athletic. Also been at Bangor City.

Adrian Jurkowski

Young midfield player who previously played for Polish League Four club KS Sparta Paczków.

Tony Roberts

Experienced keeper. Previous clubs include Porthmadog, Amlwch Town, Cemaes Bay and Bodedern.

Richard F Owen

Experienced left-sided midfielder who is also signed with Caernarfon Town. Member of last season's Championship winning squad. Previous clubs include Porthmadog, Bangor City and Cemaes Bay.

Dave Ball

Goalkeeper signed October 2006 from Llanrug United. Previous clubs include Bethesda Athletic.

Carl Thomas

Recently re-signed for Glantraeth after being part of the double-winning squad last season. Previously with Beaumaris Town.

Chris Evans

Signed from Llanfair PG in February 2007, Chris, a left sided midfielder, spent three years as a trainee with Wrexham and also has Welsh Premier League experience with Porthmadog this season. His father, Medwyn Evans, played for Bangor City.

Cemlyn Williams

Made first appearance of season in League Cup Semi-Final. Also signed on with Bethesda Athletic.
